Brian Culbertson has been working more and more with live musicians on his sessions, and it adds a new depth and stronger grooves to his floating keyboard sounds on Somethin' 'Bout Love. There are terrific guest spots by saxophonists Dave Koz and Steve Cole and organist Ricky Peterson, as well as some potent bass from Walter Tisdale. R&B singer Lori Perry increases the soul quotient on her song "Get'n Over You" as well as the concluding "I'm Gonna Miss You," a moving collaboration between Perry and Culbertson. The latter vies for top honors with the two versions of "The Secret Garden," one instrumental and the other a great feature for Donnell Spencer's voice.
